The Bologna process requires universities in Europe to develop easily readable, comparable and compatible degrees. As part of the work in the EU project “Tuning Educational Structures in Europe“, the European Chemistry Thematic Network ECTN developed a framework for the three cycles qualification in chemistry, the Chemistry Eurobachelor®, the Chemistry Euromaster® and the Chemistry Doctorate Eurolabel®.
The second cycle was extended with the Chemical Technology Euromaster®. The qualifications can be obtained in accreditation processes as regular or renewal ones, and recently there is new possibility to apply for Eurolabel® as add-on to the national accreditation.
The ECTN-LC quality assessment is improvement oriented process that aims just the quality of the "product" with full respect to the university individuality and their own way towards the best education. It is aimed to help the universities and educational consortia to get the acknowledged label of quality.
The members of the ECTN-LC are nominated by the ECTN AC from the list of ECTN-LC Panel of Experts.
